Report: Shawn Michaels Told To Reach Out To Johnny Gargano

A further update on Johnny Gargano's professional wrestling future has emerged. 

Gargano has been away from the ring since his WWE contract expired in December of 2021 but the former NXT Champion could be set to make a return to the company, with Fightful Select reporting that Shawn Michaels at the very least was told to reach out to Gargano following Triple H's promotion. There is no word on how any possible chat went, only that Michaels was asked to get in touch with Gargano. 

Gargano was known to be a Triple H favourite during their time together on WWE NXT and Johnny Wrestling was one of the top stars on the brand, particularly during his run as a babyface. 

Since stepping away from the business, Gargano has appeared at several conventions and he briefly popped up on an episode of IMPACT Wrestling to praise Alex Shelley a few weeks ago. 

Triple H has brought back multiple former WWE talents since he was installed as head of creative and Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Dexter Lumis, and Dakota Kai have all made their way back to the company.
