Report: Shinsuke Nakamura's "Cancer" Line On WWE Raw Was Not Supposed To Air

Someone forgot to take it out...

The rivalry between The Street Profits and Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro continued on last week's Raw as the two teams faced off for the first time. Both teams battled back and forth but Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford picked up the win after Dawkins hit Cesaro with a Frog Splash.

Ahead of the match, an inset promo played in which The King Of Strong Style said: "If they want smoke, they will get cancer."

Paul Davis at WrestlingNews.co reported this line was not supposed to air, which is why Michael Cole repeated an amended version. The commentator said, "They're gonna get some here tonight," instead of "They will get cancer."

Davis noted it was another chaotic day at Raw on September 14 which resulted in someone simply forgetting to switch the promos.

This isn't the first time Raw has been chaotic in the past few months. Last-minute changes have been common and Gary Cassidy recently reported this is because the lead writers on the red brand are "not up to the task of getting the show done in time." Vince McMahon also continues to oversee all main roster programming and he often hasn't given final approval of the script until just before Raw goes on the air.
