Report: Shoot Strikes Exchanged During Thunder Rosa Vs. Ivelisse On AEW: Dynamite

Backstage heat between the two stars...

On Wednesday's edition of Dynamite, Thunder Rosa defended the NWA World Women's Championship against Ivelisse. Both women battled back and forth for nine minutes but the champion was able to pick up the win with the Tombstone Piledriver.

The match was considered a hard-hitting affair and Fightful Select later reported Rosa and Ivelisse exchanged some shoot strikes during the bout. Thunder Rosa felt she was being "made to look bad" by Ivelisse no-selling some of her offence and both women went after each other physically.

Fightful noted Rosa is proud to be the NWA World Women's Champion and she was "ready and willing to do anything not to make the NWA look stupid." Rosa is known for being a stiff worker inside the squared circle and she and Ivelisse weren't getting along before the match according to backstage sources.

People watching the match inside Daily's Place believed it would have to be edited and many were uncomfortable as the action continued.

One wrestler also said they were surprised Thunder Rosa & Hikaru Shida vs. Ivelisse & Diamante wasn't removed from next week's broadcast.
