Report: Some Internal Concern About Aspects Of AEW Fight Forever

AEW Fight Forever issues ahead of release

All Elite Wrestling's first-ever console video game is set to be released later this month on Thursday, June 29 for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as Nintendo Switch and PC. The game will be compatible with Steam Deck.

The game will feature the usual exhibition modes, a creation suite, and a Road to Elite career mode. Footage of the modes has been released but, according to Fightful Select, there have been "some internal criticisms" about the "limited creation suite." What players will be able to do in the mode appears to be limited, but ultimately more will be revealed when Fight Forever is released.

There is also concern about the Road to Elite mode, in particular about the repetitive clothing for other characters. YUKE'S experienced limitations when putting the story mode together, but they did take input from some of the wrestlers that will appear in Road to Elite.

Fight Forever will include mini-games too and they were said to be something that Kenny Omega wanted in the game. The Best Bout Machine also insisted that Geta be brought in to assist with the development of Fight Forever.

The original plan for AEW Fight Forever was for a one-off release with constant updates and DLC instead of an annual release like the WWE 2K series. AEW do have the option to change that plan in the future, though, as they hold the rights to the Fight Forever engine.
