Report: SPOILER On IMPACT Wrestling's Major Surprise

IMPACT Wrestling announced this week they have a "major surprise" planned for fans in attendance at their Spring Slugfest tapings on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29. The tapings are scheduled to take place at Cicero Stadium in Chicago, Illinois.

Speculation had swirled about IMPACT's plans and PWInsider Elite have reported the major surprise will be the debut of Trinity Fatu (FKA Naomi). The former WWE star isn't scheduled to just work one IMPACT show either and her appearance during Spring Slugfest will kick off a run in the promotion for the former Naomi.

Fatu's planned in-ring name is currently unknown. She abandoned the trademark for 'Trinity Starr' recently, which looked set to her new name in pro wrestling. 

Spring Slugfest will be the former Naomi's first pro wrestling appearance since she walked out of WWE with Mercedes Moné (FKA Sasha Banks) in May 2022 following a creative dispute with Vince McMahon. Fatu confirmed she had exited WWE earlier this year. Rumours recently indicated that NJPW were offered the chance to sign the former Funkadactyl but the promotion turned down the opportunity due to budget restrictions.

During her 13-year WWE run, Fatu became a two-time SmackDown Women's Champion and one-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion.
