Report: Spoiler On WWE Raw Plans
SPOILER on WWE's plans for tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw
May 8, 2023
Following Backlash, WWE will head to Jacksonville, Florida tonight for the post-PPV edition of Monday Night Raw.
The show will feature the start of the WWE World Heavyweight Title tournament and six competitors will face off in two Triple Threat matches. The winners of those matches will then clash later in the night to advance to the final at Night of Champions. The participants on the Raw side of the tournament are Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Damian Priest, Finn Balor, The Miz, and Shinsuke Nakamura. The same format will be utilised on SmackDown later this week to determine the second finalist.
Fightful Select have reported that tentative creative plans for Raw call for the World Heavyweight Title tournament to take up a "significant" portion of the show. The new belt will be ringside for the matches.
In addition, "missing" posters for Becky Lynch have been produced to further her programme with Trish Stratus. Lynch hasn't been on TV since the WWE Hall of Famer turned heel on Becky after they lost the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
Elsewhere in the women's tag team division, Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville are scheduled to petition members of the roster and staff to oppose management. The pair are scheduled to continue teaming together, having formed an alliance ahead of WrestleMania 39.
A "new and immediate infusion of talent" is also expected to begin on tonight's episode of Raw following the WWE Draft.
The updated Raw roster is as follows:
