Report: Update On WWE Plans For Cody Rhodes & Brock Lesnar Following Backlash

What is next for Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar?

A top WWE feud looks set to continue for a little while longer.

According to WRKD Wrestling, the programme between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar is "far from over" and it appears that will become clear tonight when Brock Lesnar involves himself in the WWE World Heavyweight Title tournament on Raw.

"Cody Rhodes feud with Brock Lesnar is far from over. While Cody is currently in the #WWERaw World Heavyweight Championship tournament, the Beast Incarnate will quickly make his intentions known," WRKD Wrestling tweeted.

Rhodes is one of 12 participants in the tournament to crown the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The tournament will begin tonight on Raw with two Triple Threat matches. The winners of those matches will then face off in singles action later in the show to determine the first tournament finalist.

The six Raw participants along with Cody are Finn Balor, Damian Priest, The Miz, Seth Rollins, and Shinsuke Nakamura.

This week's episode of SmackDown will have the same format to determine the second finalist.

Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar have been feuding since Lesnar turned heel on The American Nightmare during the Raw after WrestleMania 39. Rhodes won their first match at Backlash, pinning Lesnar while Brock had the Kimura Lock applied.
