Report: Talent Given More Flexibility With WWE Promos

One current WWE feud in particular has been named as having more flexibility on the mic.

A report from Fightful Select indicates that several WWE Superstars have been given more flexibility in their promos recently.

The report states that this has been granted to "several" wrestlers, with the recent feud between Karrion Kross and Shinsuke Nakamura named as an example.

Kross and Nakamura clashed on the SmackDown before Backlash earlier this month, with the latter picking up the victory. The feud now looks to be over, as Nakamura was shifted over to the Raw brand in the recent WWE Draft.

One of the most glaring differences between modern WWE and earlier periods of the promotion's history is the feel of promo segments. Over the years, fans have noticed an increased tightening of restrictions in promos and interviews, with an overly-scripted feel often used online as a common criticism of the current WWE product.

This recent leeway potentially indicates a change under the stewardship of Triple H, who currently oversees WWE creative on a day-to-day basis. Vince McMahon is the head of WWE creative, having returned to that position following WWE's sale to Endeavor in early April, and he largely oversees creative remotely.
