Report: Tama Tonga Not Expected To Debut Before WWE WrestleMania 40

Tama Tonga unlikely to debut before WWE WrestleMania 40

Don't expect to see Tama Tonga on WWE TV before WrestleMania 40 on April 6 and April 7.

According to Aaron Varble of SE Scoops, Tama Tonga will likely not be on WWE programming before the 'Show of Shows' and fans shouldn't expect to see him before then.

"WWE's creative is aware Tama Tonga is coming, but they have not been given any direction for him yet. I was told this is 'Not surprising because he's probably not in before WrestleMania.' So, don’t expect Tonga for Mania. At this point, the creative team is starting to put together Backlash," Varble tweeted.

Tama Tonga finished up with New Japan Pro-Wrestling at the end of February and it emerged soon after that he is reportedly WWE-bound. One option for Tonga could even see him added to The Bloodline, which is something WWE are considering at the moment. Tonga is a part of the Anoa'i family through his father Haku, who is considered an uncle by many in the family.

During his 14-year run with New Japan, Tonga founded Bullet Club with Prince Devitt (Finn Balor), Karl Anderson, and Bad Luck Fale. He became a four-time NEVER Openweight Champion and seven-time IWGP Tag Team Champion with brother Tanga Loa as Guerillas of Destiny.
