Fan Had Rock Sign Removed From WWE SmackDown

Sign removed from WWE SmackDown

The Rock was back on WWE programming for the March 1 edition of Friday Night SmackDown as the newest member of The Bloodline challenged Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins to face him and Roman Reigns in a tag team match at WrestleMania 40.

The segment went massively over time, resulting in cuts being made to Tiffany Stratton vs. Naomi, and there were also several blackouts during The Rock's promo on SmackDown. The blackouts occurred due to a "DIE ROCKY DIE" sign in line of the hard cam and FOX decided they wanted the sign to be censored.

One fan also reportedly had a sign confiscated, according to Fightful Select. The sign in question read "Rock Shops At BALCO".

The Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative (BALCO) was a business that supplied anabolic steroids to professional athletes and was involved in a scandal in the 2000s.

The Rock has been back on WWE programming since the beginning of 2024. He has since joined the TKO Board of Directors and he was set to main event WrestleMania 40 against Roman Reigns until Rocky changed his mind and decided WWE should go with Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes instead.
