Report: Tampa Bay "In The Running" To Host WWE WrestleMania 38

After WrestleMania 36 was moved from Raymond James Stadium...

On April 4 and April 5, WrestleMania 36 was broadcast from the Firefly Funhouse, a boneyard, and the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The Showcase Of The Immortals was originally scheduled to take place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida but the coronavirus pandemic forced WWE to move the pay-per-view to an empty arena.

This caused some matches and Superstars' plans to be scrapped as Kevin Owens explained he originally wanted to jump off the pirate ship inside the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stadium. K.O might still get his chance, however, as WrestleVotes reported on Twitter that Tampa is "in the running" to be the host city of WrestleMania 38.

WrestleVotes tweeted: "Now that the weekend that 'was to be' has passed, I can say that Tampa Bay will be in the running to host #Wrestlemania 38 in 2022. All the initial legwork is obviously done, with the city still very much eager to host the event. Might be a shoe in. Time will tell."
