Report: Tessa Blanchard's First Match Since IMPACT Wrestling Release Revealed

Putting a title on the line...

On June 25, IMPACT Wrestling suddenly announced Tessa Blanchard had been released and stripped of the IMPACT World Championship. The Queen Of The Carolinas' contract was set to expire before Slammiversary 2020 and both parties failed to agree to terms on a one-night deal so she could drop the title.

WWE are reportedly the front runners to sign Blanchard but she is yet to join a major promotion.

The former IMPACT World Champion's first match since her release was revealed earlier today as Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Blanchard will defend the Warrior Wrestling Women's Championship against Kylie Rae on September 12.

The promotion recently revealed Rae will be in the main event of the show but Meltzer noted they aren't legally allowed to advertise that Blanchard is her opponent yet.

Warrior Wrestling's September 12 event will take place at Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Other matches on the show include Joey Janela vs. WARHORSE, Alex Shelley vs. TJP, Thunder Rosa vs. Kimber Lee and Brian Cage vs. Alex Zayne.
