The Dyad are still expected to be recognised as pro wrestling free agents in a couple of months.

Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler of The Dyad announced earlier this year that their WWE contracts were set to expire in October and they had no plans to re-sign with the company. Reid's deal is scheduled to end on October 14, while Fowler's contract will expire one day later on October 15.

The Dyad originally requested their WWE releases, but those requests were denied in April of this year.

Since asking for their releases and announcing their intentions to leave WWE, Reid and Fowler have established themselves once again on NXT TV alongside Joe Gacy and Ava, with The Dyad having high-profile tag team matches regularly, including challenging for the NXT Tag Team Championships.

Despite the push, the belief is The Dyad are still planning to leave WWE when their contracts expire, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. There has been no confirmation but speculation has suggested The Dyad will be written out of the company in a Loser Leaves Town Match to conclude their programme with The Creeds.

Reid and Fowler have been a part of WWE since 2018, first as James Drake and Zack Gibson of the Grizzled Young Veterans. They had one reign as the NXT UK Tag Team Champions under that moniker before they were repackaged as The Dyad in 2022.
