Despite being reunited as a tag-team on Friday Night SmackDown, The Usos reportedly hold a very unique distinction in WWE at the moment.

Since Jimmy Uso's return to television, he has been trying to persuade brother Jey that they don't need to always do what cousin, and Universal Champion, Roman Reigns tells them to do. Jey has been firmly established as Reigns' right-hand man since accepting him as The Head Of The Table in October 2020.

Jimmy and Jey have resumed teaming, defeating The Street Profits and then facing Rey and Dominik Mysterio for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles last week. But, despite their partnership, the two are currently in an exceptionally unique situation in WWE.

According to PWInsider, Jey is entrenched as a heel on the roster while the returning Jimmy is categorised as a babyface on WWE's internal roster.

Teases of further tension between Jimmy and Reigns continue on SmackDown, with Jey stuck in the middle, although reports suggest that the trio will be completely aligned and on the same team by the time WWE present SummerSlam in August.
