Report: The Young Bucks' New AEW Deals Considered Historic

The Young Bucks believed to have signed ‘historic’ AEW deals

The Elite recently signed new deals keeping them in All Elite Wrestling, with the foursome of Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks Matt and Nick Jackson pledging their future to the company they helped create.

Exact details of The Elite’s new contracts have not been made publicly available, but according to a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Bucks’ deals in particular are said to be considered ‘historic’.

The Elite were represented during contract negotiations by long-time pro wrestling agent Barry Bloom, and it is believed that Bloom told The Bucks that ‘as far as he knew, this was the highest guarantee any tag team in pro wrestling history had ever gotten’. The report specifies that this would include deals signed by The Outsiders Kevin Nash and Scott Hall during their time on top of WCW in the 1990s, although comparisons of dollar amounts between 2023 and contracts signed 25/30 years ago without accounting for inflation wouldn’t give a fair representation.

Tony Khan’s offer to all four men was strong enough to keep them from considering any potential approach from WWE, with it noted that The Elite ‘couldn’t imagine’ a wrestling owner/promoter investing this kind of money into a faction and indeed sign four wrestlers to new deals in one swoop. Khan is said to have ‘put his money where his mouth is’, with the Elite confident that TK still saw value in all four performers.
