Report: The Young Bucks Send Out Feelers To WWE

The Young Bucks reaching out to WWE

The Young Bucks are looking for leverage.

The options in Nick and Matt Jackson's contracts were picked up near the end of 2021, extending their deals with All Elite Wrestling until 2024. The former AEW World Tag Team Champions are already thinking about future contract negotiations, though, and Wrestling Observer's Ryan Frederick reported on the F4W Online Board that The Young Bucks sent out feelers to WWE through a talent to make it known they would be interested in holding talks when their deals expire.

"They didn't sign new deals. Their options were picked up. They did reach out to a talent to send feelers that they would be interested in talking about coming in when their deals are up. But, everyone on both sides are going to do the same because you want to look for the best deal. Anyone who doesn't do so is dumb and possibly leaving money on the table," Frederick wrote.

It is not known if The Young Bucks spoke to anyone in WWE management, which would be considered contract tampering, only that they spoke to a WWE talent about joining the company. The process is considered common where promotions and talent will communicate through a third party to avoid any accusations of contract tampering.

The Young Bucks were one of the founders of All Elite Wrestling back in 2019 and they are two of the promotion's EVPs. They are also two-time AEW World Tag Team Champions.
