On this week's episode of Raw, Ron Simmons appeared in a backstage segment with MVP and Bobby Lashley and told them there was always a different way of doing things. The Franchise Playa and Lashley recently made an addition to their faction The Hurt Business as Shelton Benjamin joined the group, and Porter has been making moves to recruit other Superstars like Cedric Alexander and Apollo Crews to the stable.

Earlier this week, Dave Meltzer reported WWE originally planned to revive The Nation Of Domination on Raw this week but the idea was scrapped during the rewrites of the show. The idea could still be used in the future, however.

Meltzer provided additional details on the plan in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and revealed Mark Henry was backstage at Raw to kickstart the angle but wasn't used on the show after the idea was nixed. There was also opposition to The Nation's revival from people in the company as they believed revamping the faction during the current political climate would be "incredibly tone-deaf."

United States Champion Apollo Crews recently discussed bringing the stable back during an interview with Sporting News, and he mentioned The Nation would have to be a babyface group in 2020.
