WWE Officially Confirms SummerSlam 2020 Will Not Take Place At The TD Garden In Boston, Massachusetts

A new home for The Biggest Party Of The Summer will need to be found...

WWE recently confirmed the news that many had been expecting and announced SummerSlam 2020 will not take place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The pay-per-view will still be broadcast live on August 23 on the WWE Network.

The company wrote: "In coordination with our local partners, government officials and TD Garden, WWE’s SummerSlam and related events will no longer take place in Boston. Refunds are available at the original point of purchase. We are grateful to the city of Boston for their longstanding partnership and look forward to holding WWE events at TD Garden in the future.

"SummerSlam will stream live on Sunday, August 23, at 7 p.m. ET on WWE Network, and information regarding a new location for the event is forthcoming."

While the company did not announce a new location for The Biggest Party Of The Summer, earlier this month Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported the show will be broadcast from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. All pay-per-views and episodes of Raw and SmackDown have been taped at the WWE facility since March 13.
