There seemingly isn't much love for Tommy Dreamer within TNA Wrestling following the former TNA Digital Media Champion's exit from the promotion.
Dreamer had been in his third stint with TNA since 2018, and he was one of the top names in creative alongside Hunter "Delirious" Johnston prior to Dreamer and TNA agreeing to part ways on June 17.
The ECW original addressed his time with TNA on Busted Open Radio, during which he claimed he tried building a culture in the promotion that is now going to change massively following his exit, that he would have booked M By Elegance to be the top star of the Knockouts division by 2027, and that Mike Santana didn't win the TNA World Title at Slammiversary 2025, as many expected, because he would have lacked challengers at Bound for Glory. Dreamer also stated he made the right choice not booking the title change for Slammiversary because Bound for Glory's attendance was higher than the July pay-per-view.
People within TNA quickly fired back against Dreamer's claims, though, and False Finish has reported the belief inside the promotion is that the culture will change for the better without the 55-year-old around.
"Sources inside TNA indicate to False Finish that Tommy Dreamer's statements are not accurate. Dreamer did not want to build contenders and in fact had control of who got pushed. The belief is that the culture will change for the better. The feeling is that the booking and creative wasn’t good and change was needed, especially with the bigger platform of AMC this year," False Finish tweeted.
Gerard of False Finish also reported that a source within TNA strongly refuted Dreamer's claim that his booking for Slammiversary was the reason Bound for Glory 2025 set a record attendance in the United States for TNA, with it instead being claimed it was The Hardys vs. Team 3D match that resulted in the high attendance.
Following his TNA exit, Tommy Dreamer was accused of inappropriate conduct by multiple pro wrestlers who have worked with him in the past. Dreamer did not address the allegations on Busted Open Radio.
