Report: Tommaso Ciampa Called Up To WWE Raw

Ciampa is set to be at tonight's Raw

Former NXT champion Tommaso Ciampa has been called up to WWE Raw, and will be at the site of tonight's show, according to a report from PWInsider.

It's not clear if Ciampa will actually appear on tonight's Raw broadcast, which emanates from Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

Ciampa finished up with NXT last weekend, losing to Tony D'Angelo at Stand and Deliver on Saturday, April 2. After the match, the crowd chanted "Thank you Ciampa", and he was embraced by Triple H on his way to the back.

Ciampa has appeared on Raw in recent months, as part of a feud with Dolph Ziggler. He was also part of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the pre-WrestleMania episode of SmackDown, and has wrestled four times on Main Event in 2022 (three of those matches coming against T-BAR).

After officially signing with WWE in the spring of 2016, Ciampa spent the next six years as part of NXT (save for a brief main roster foray in 2019). While on NXT, Ciampa twice held the NXT championship, and was a tag titlist with DIY partner Johnny Gargano.
