Report: Tommaso Ciampa Out For Rest Of 2022

Tommaso Ciampa is out with injury until 2023 at the very least

Tommaso Ciampa has been out injured since September, and it seems like Ciampa won’t be returning to a WWE ring before the year is out.

The former NXT Champion underwent hip labrum surgery in late October, and a report from PWInsider claims that ‘The Sicilian Psychopath’ isn’t expected back in WWE until 2023 at the very least.

Ciampa last wrestled in September, taking on then United States Champion Bobby Lashley at a Saturday Night’s Main Event show in California. Ciampa has had several notable injuries during his time in WWE, notably suffering a knee injury whilst part of DIY in NXT in 2017, and a neck injury in 2019 which forced him to drop the NXT Championship.

Before suffering this latest injury, Ciampa was paired with The Miz on WWE TV, battling against Dexter Lumis. With Johnny Gargano also involved in Miz and Dexter’s feud it’ll be interesting to see if WWE can drag the storyline out so we can get Gargano vs. Ciampa on the main roster when Ciampa makes his return.
