Report: Update On AEW Plans For Rampage

Latest on AEW's Rampage plans

Changes are coming to All Elite Wrestling's Friday night show, Rampage.

Rumours in recent months have noted that AEW are set to introduce a new Saturday night show in Collision that will begin airing on June 17 with a debut episode at Chicago's United Center. CM Punk is reportedly set to make his AEW return at that event alongside another debut or return to the promotion.

Rumours of Collision's introduction fuelled speculation about the future of Rampage but it was confirmed last week that the show will continue on Friday nights on TNT in the United States.

In an update, Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rampage will be booked in a similar manner to Dark and Dark: Elevation after Collision debuts and the show will be utilised to showcase younger talent.

Rampage will also likely feature talents primarily from Dynamite as the show will often be taped following a live episode of Dynamite on Wednesday nights. AEW are set to introduce a roster split of sorts to keep CM Punk and those who dislike him separated.

Rampage has been AEW's Friday night show since its premiere in August 2021. The show initially featured major angles and matches but it has very much developed into a B show for the promotion.
