Report: Update On AEW Possibly Signing Ember Moon

Since her WWE release in November of 2021, many have wondered about Athena's (FKA Ember Moon) next destination, with some speculating she could end up in All Elite Wrestling like several of her former NXT colleagues. 

According to Fightful Select, AEW and Athena have had "light talks" and there was a "feeling out process" between both parties shortly after the former NXT Women's Champion was let go by WWE. 

There is no word on if Athena will eventually sign with Tony Khan's promotion, though. Individuals Fightful spoke to within AEW noted "there didn't seem to be a sense of urgency to lock her down." 

Athena has previously teased arriving in AEW and she had a Twitter exchange with Jade Cargill over a possible TBS Title match. 

Since her WWE exit, Athena has only performed twice, with both of her matches taking place at Warrior Wrestling events. Promoters noted to Fightful that The War Goddess had been very selective about her indy wrestling bookings. 

While Athena might not be AEW bound, talent within the promotion do expect Toni Storm to join the company.
