Report: Update On Backstage Morale Following WWE Royal Rumble

Happy people in WWE

WWE morale is on the up.

Morale reached its lowest-ever point in the company at the 2022 Royal Rumble, according to Fightful Select, but the backstage atmosphere has improved greatly since then. A talent within WWE noted that the Rumble was "the easiest in a long time without Vince McMahon at the helm" and there were far fewer last-minute changes. The 2023 Rumble was even considered "a dream" compared to the fiasco of 2022.

The backstage atmosphere within WWE is also considered much more laid back with Vince McMahon no longer around at TV tapings, and NXT talents were optimistic as the one-year ban on their involvement in the Rumble matches has been rescinded.

The only complaints from talent coming out of the Rumble stemmed from Hardy's performance which cut "into the time of others" and a few minor transitional elements that the new regime has yet to get used to, although that is expected to change with time.

WWE are now on the road to WrestleMania and the next major show, Elimination Chamber, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 18.
