Report: Update On Brian Kendrick's WWE Status Following Survivor Series WarGames Return

Is Brian Kendrick back with WWE?

Brian Kendrick was suddenly back in WWE over the weekend, working the Survivor Series WarGames pay-per-view on Saturday, November 26 as a producer. He put the SmackDown Women's Title match between Ronda Rousey and Shotzi together with Jason Jordan.

If Kendrick had re-signed with WWE was unknown and in an update, Mike Johnson of PWInsider noted Kendrick was working as a producer at Survivor Series WarGames on a tryout basis. He has not been officially re-signed. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer also reported that Kendrick's return was a surprise, even to those who know him from NXT.

Kendrick has worked for WWE over multiple runs since 2002. His most recent stint with the company came to an end after he was granted his release in early 2022. He had been working in NXT as a producer/coach at the time.

The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion was then scheduled to debut in All Elite Wrestling on February 2 but offensive remarks made by Kendrick resurfaced ahead of the match and his appearance was scrapped. Kendrick was released by AEW in May, having not made a single appearance on TV.

Kendrick's offensive remarks included him saying the Sandy Hook shooting was faked, that the Holocaust was overblown to justify the creation of Israel, and that WW2 concentration camps were for delousing.
