Report: Update On Cody Rhodes-WWE Talks

Following his departure from All Elite Wrestling in mid-February, reports noted Cody Rhodes would be re-signing with WWE but The American Nightmare's return has become increasingly uncertain in recent weeks.

In the latest update, Dave Meltzer noted on the F4W Online Board that negotiations with WWE had "hit a snag" and Rhodes has "multiple offers" on the table. 

"Negotiations hit a snag. He has multiple offers. He has to make a decision. WWE wants the decision made soon for obvious reasons. The ball is in his court," Meltzer wrote.

Rhodes also still has the option to return to AEW, with Meltzer adding: "I don't know. I know he could go back if he wants to."

Amidst the chatter around his status, Rhodes gave an update to Fightful Select on Saturday, saying: "I logged on earlier and saw some wild stuff - these are mad times." The American Nightmare then sent a photo of his dogs when asked to elaborate. 

Fightful also noted there had been pitches "regarding Rhodes and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania" but that creative was now "uncertain". Several AEW talents speculated Rhodes' deal to WWE was off too.  

A source within WWE noted "nothing had changed", however.
