Christy Hemme Returns To IMPACT In Backstage Role

She had previously left the company in 2016

During her recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Gail Kim revealed that Christy Hemme is back working with IMAPCT Wrestling in a backstage role.

Detailing some of what her role entails, Kim said:

"She's backstage now and working on a lot of things, helping with some branding stuff and production stuff. It's great to have. The more women in the office, the better"

Hemme had previously worked for TNA/IMPACT between 2006 and 2016. She retired from in-ring competition in 2009 due to a serious neck injury and subsequently became a backstage interviewer and ring announcer.

Almost eighteen months after leaving IMPACT, Hemme announced that she was pregnant with quadruplets. She gave birth to three girls and a boy on on January 6, 2018.

In 2020, Hemme, Kim and Lita attempted to launch a women's wrestling show called KAYfABE, but didn't reach their crowdfunding goals.

Christy Hemme shot to fame in 2004 when she won the WWE Diva Search, bagging a one-year contract worth $250,000. While working for WWE, she appeared on the cover of Playboy and wrestled Trish Stratus for the Women's Championship at WrestleMania 21.

She was released in December of 2005 while training at developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling.
