Report: Update On Colt Cabana's AEW Status

He hasn't wrestled on television in over six months

The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided an update on the status of All Elite Wrestling star Colt Cabana.

Colt hasn't appeared in AEW for a while, with his last match for the company coming in early March on the YouTube show AEW Dark. His last televised match was a loss to Bryan Danielson on the November 24, 2021, episode of Dynamite.

Cabana has not been at any AEW tapings since signing a new deal, a contract which was pushed for by The Young Bucks.

According to Dave Meltzer, Cabana is being earmarked for a role in Ring of Honor, if and when that group starts. He wrestled for ROH off and on between 2002 and 2019 and appeared on the Supercard of Honor pre-show on April 1.

Meltzer further speculated that Colt moving to Ring of Honor might have something to do with the longstanding issues between him and CM Punk, which resulted in a lawsuit (that took place before either signed with AEW).

Cabana recently appeared on an episode of NBC sitcom Young Rock, playing Steve 'The Brooklyn Brawler' Lombardi.
