Report: Update On Dakota Kai Following WWE Royal Rumble Injury

Dakota Kai picked up an injury at WWE Royal Rumble

Following her participation in the Women's Royal Rumble on January 28, WWE announced on Monday Night Raw that Dakota Kai had picked up an injury during the match, although no other details about Kai's condition were revealed.

The Women's Tag Team Champion did appear on Raw as she and Bayley were at ringside for IYO SKY's win over Candice LeRae. Kai was then involved in an angle as Lynch threatened to hit Kai with a steel chair unless Bayley agreed to face The Man in a Steel Cage Match on next week's Raw. Bayley ultimately accepted the challenge.

In an update on Kai, Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that The Captain of Team Kick's injury is only believed to be minor. How long she will be unable to wrestle for is currently unknown.

Kai returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2022, shortly after Triple H's appointment as Chief Content Officer. Kai is currently in her second reign as one-half of the Women's Tag Team Champions with IYO SKY. The Damage CTRL members regained the belts at Crown Jewel in November.
