Report: Update On Dragon Lee's WWE NXT Debut

There Has Been An Update On Dragon Lee's WWE NXT Plans

After the announcement of his WWE signature a few months ago, the debut of Dragon Lee in WWE NXT has been highly anticipated. According to reports, fans may not have to wait too much longer to see him finally appear on WWE programming.

Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealed the expected start time and plans for Dragon Lee in NXT:

“Dragon Lee is hoped to arrive next week. It’s not a for sure, but that is the expectation. He signed in December and was to debut in early January, the problems with getting a visa have kept him from coming in. It appears the plan is to link him in a feud with Grayson Waller since he already tweeted something in that direction.”

Shawn Michaels and Grayson Waller have been feuding in recent weeks, with things getting heated. It is likely that Dragon Lee will be a handpicked competitor to face Waller on behalf of Michaels, which, in the context of the current NXT brand, is a major match to introduce Dragon Lee. With NXT’s WrestleMania weekend show, Stand & Deliver, fastly approaching, a match between the two would be a strong addition to that card.
