Report: Update On Giovanni Vinci After Missing WWE Raw
What's the story with the Imperium member?
The absence of Giovanni Vinci from this past Monday's episode of Raw has led to some speculation about the Imperium member's status within WWE.
While his stablemates GUNTHER and Ludwig Kaiser competed in the show's main event (losing to Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn), Vinci was nowhere to be seen.
This comes one week after Vinci was attacked by Matt Riddle and put into an Ankle Lock, appearing on Raw Talk with the aid of crutches about an hour later.
According to insider account Better Wrestling Experience, Giovanni is not legitimately injured. His using crutches and missing this week's show are simply related to the storyline. It is unknown at this point whether Vinci will miss any more time to sell the angle.
It was recently reported that WWE are considering adding a new member to Imperium, with NXT star Ilja Dragunov earmarked for the role. Whether Imperium would become a four-man unit or Dragunov would replace a current member remains to be seen.
