Report: WWE Looking At Adding A New Member To Imperium

Another talent in WWE could be set to discover the mat is sacred.

According to Better Wrestling Experience (AKA BoozerRasslin), WWE are considering adding a new member to join GUNTHER and co, with Ilja Dragunov being "eyed to join Imperium later." There was no timeline on when Dragunov could join the stable, only that it is being considered within WWE.

Imperium has been a faction in WWE since 2019 and is currently composed of GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci. Alexander Wolfe was originally a part of the stable until he was kicked out of Imperium in May 2021. He departed WWE soon after when his contract expired. 

Ilja Dragunov and GUNTHER have a long history in WWE and on the European independent wrestling scene. They had match-of-the-year contenders over the NXT UK Title in 2020 and 2021 and Dragunov ended GUNTHER's (then known as WALTER) 870-day reign as NXT UK Champion at NXT TakeOver 36. 

Dragunov is currently a part of the NXT roster but he has been rumoured to eventually make his way to the main roster.
