Report: AEW Collision To Take Inspiration From WCW Monday Nitro

WCW Monday Nitro graphics coming to AEW Collision

All Elite Wrestling are set to use inspiration from World Championship Wrestling for their upcoming Collision show.

It is expected to be announced today that AEW will debut a new Saturday night show named Collision next month and the series will air on TNT in the United States. It is believed the show will premiere on June 17 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois and a major moment for the inaugural episode will be the return of CM Punk.

According to Fightful Select, early graphics for Collision will be influenced by WCW Monday Nitro, the series from World Championship Wrestling which aired on TNT from September 1995 until March 2001 when WCW was bought by WWE.

The debut of Collision will see a brand split of sorts introduced to All Elite Wrestling in order to keep CM Punk and talent who don't want to be in the same building as him separate. The nature of the brand split is currently unclear, though, with reports noting the plans are constantly changing. Fightful Select reported that AEW talents are expecting a hard brand split to be introduced.
