Report: Update On Goldberg's Possible In-Ring Return

Latest on Goldberg's retirement plans

An update on Goldberg's plans to return to the squared circle has emerged.

According to PWInsider Elite, Goldberg was in Los Angeles, California during WrestleMania 39 weekend and had a meeting with at least one international promoter about having a farewell show in Israel and possibly other countries. There has also been speculation about Goldberg possibly returning to the ring for a match with MJF in All Elite Wrestling but PWInsider noted they hadn't heard about that match being discussed.

Goldberg is currently a free agent after his WWE contract expired at the end of 2022. The WWE Hall of Famer revealed earlier this week that WWE didn't honour a handshake agreement he had with Vince McMahon to have a retirement match after his Universal Title clash with Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber 2022.

With that deal off the table, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion is leaning towards self-promoting a four-city farewell tour before he calls it a career as he believes the Goldberg character deserves a proper send-off.

Speculation has tipped Goldberg to wind up in All Elite Wrestling, especially after AEW CEO Tony Khan revealed he was keeping an eye on Da' Man's free-agent status.
