Report: Scrapped WWE Main Roster Call-Up For Bron Breakker Revealed

Bron Breakker could have been a WWE main roster talent already

Bron Breakker has established himself as a top star on WWE's NXT brand since the 2.0 rebrand in September 2021 but the two-time NXT Champion could have already been a main roster talent if WWE had carried out their original plans.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that he was told Breakker would be going to the main roster "pretty soon" in January 2022.

"In January of 2022 which was over a year ago, I remember being told that Gable Steveson was gonna be fast-tracked to the main roster right after the college season was over. And Bron Breakker was gonna be brought up pretty soon as well, which also didn't happen," Meltzer said.

Why WWE didn't move Bron to the main roster at the time is unknown.

Breakker has been rumoured for a main roster call-up in 2023 and WWE are set to hold their latest draft in the coming weeks so the former NXT Champion could make his way to Raw or SmackDown then. The Big Bad Booty Nephew has recently seen his presentation in NXT change, having turned heel only days after he dropped the NXT Championship to Carmelo Hayes at Stand & Deliver on April 1.

Breakker will next be in action at Spring Breakin' on Tuesday, April 25. He is scheduled to face Andre Chase.
