Report: Update On Ilja Dragunov Potentially Moving To The WWE Main Roster

WWE NXT aren't set to lose one of their top stars anytime soon. 

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Ilja Dragunov won't be heading to either Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown in the near future, with Dragunov set to remain on NXT for the time being. 

The Mad Dragon has been a fixture on WWE NXT full-time since October of 2022 and he has often been presented at the top of the card, having been involved in the NXT Title and North American Title pictures over the past year. He most recently unsuccessfully challenged Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship at the Great American Bash on July 30. 

There had been rumours over the past several months that Dragunov would make his way to the main roster in 2023, with WWE reportedly considering adding Dragunov to GUNTHER's Imperium faction. Dragunov quashed the possibility of him joining Imperium during an exclusive interview with Cultaholic Wrestling, though.
