Jeff Jarrett is scheduled to return to WWE TV later this month and JJ will be the special guest referee for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Title match between The Usos and The Street Profits at SummerSlam on July 30 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Fans should make the most of Jarrett while he's on WWE TV, though, as the hall of famer's appearance is just a "one-time thing" according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. There are currently no plans for Jarrett to become a regular character on TV, although Meltzer did note that "all decisions like that change weekly."

As to why WWE brought Jarrett back for SummerSlam, it was reportedly done to help promote the event in Nashville since the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion lives in the area and his family were heavily involved in Tennessee wrestling for decades, with his father Jerry Jarrett having run the Memphis territory.

Jeff returned to WWE earlier this year following his appointment as Senior Vice President of Live Events.

Outside of his SummerSlam appearance, Jarrett will be in action later that weekend when he teams with Jay Lethal to take on Ric Flair and Andrade El Idolo in The Nature Boy's last match.
