Report: AEW Hoping To Have Four Stars Back For AEW All Out
AEW have been dealing with an extended injury list heading into All Out 2022
Jul 22, 2022
We are a little over a month away from AEW’s third PPV of the year, with All Out 2022 scheduled for Chicago’s Now Arena on September 4. Whilst no matches have yet been announced for the show, AEW will likely be pulling out all the stops for the event, with four main event talents possibly set to appear.
According to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, AEW are hoping to have Kenny Omega, Adam Cole, Bryan Danielson, and AEW World Champion CM Punk back in time for the event.
Recent reports have stated that Omega and Cole may be close to returning, with the prevailing belief that Punk will be back for either All Out or Full Gear, preferably the former for the Chicago native.
In Danielson’s case, any talk of a return is still up in the air, due to his history of head trauma:
“With Danielson, there is no timetable due to the unpredictability of recovery from a concussion and questions given how many he has had. But he did go on Twitter and essentially say he was coming back [to go] after both Eddie Kingston and Chris Jericho, claiming one says he put him out of action and the other was the one who really did.”
Generally seen as AEW’s marquee show of the year, All Out has become synonymous with huge returns and debuts, especially after the double-whammy debuts of Cole and Danielson at the end of All Out 2021.
