At the TLC pay-per-view, the Kabuki Warriors defended the Women's Tag Team Championship against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a Tables, Ladders, & Chairs match.
During the first few minutes of the match, Kairi Sane was knocked out and was noticeably suffering from an injury during the rest of the contest.
Ryan Satin reported on Pro Wrestling Sheet
that Sane was checked by doctors after the match, who determined she was not medically fit to wrestle at this time. There has been no update on when the Pirate Princess will return.
Sane did provide a minor update on her condition on Twitter
, as she tweeted a thumbs up, suggesting she was okay.
For the avoidance of doubt, Satin wrote:
"Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Kairi Sane is not cleared to wrestle following the main event of WWE TLC on Sunday involving The Kabuki Warriors.
"Sources tell us Sane seemed to have been knocked out in the first few minutes of the Women’s Tag Team Championship TLC match – though it’s unclear at which point exactly – which is why she appeared to be out of it during parts of the match.
"Kairi and Asuka ultimately defeated Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair after retrieving the titles from above the ring. We’re told “The Pirate Princess” was checked out by doctors after the show and it has been determined she’s not cleared to wrestle at this time."
