Report: Update On Kairi Sane’s WWE Future
The future of the former NXT Women's Champion has been the subject of much debate…
Reports from Japan suggest that WWE Superstar Kairi Sane is set to permanently return to the country as early as next month.
According to the usually highly accurate Tokyo Sports, Sane is set to return to Japan to be with her husband, seemingly confirming reports made by Dave Meltzer several weeks ago.
The Tokyo Sports article states that Sane got married in February and has been speaking fairly openly about wanting to return to Japan. However, it doesn't appear that Sane will leave WWE altogether, but will instead - as Meltzer and Fightful have previously suggested - take up an ambassadorial role for WWE overseas.
Tokyo Sports also believes an announcement will be made about Sane’s future on or before SummerSlam on August 23. With Sane looking highly likely to be facing her Kabuki Warriors team-mate Asuka for the WWE Raw Women’s Title at ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer’, could this be her way of bowing out from WWE television? We will have to just wait and see.
