Report: Update On Karl Anderson's NJPW Status

What is happening with Karl Anderson and NJPW?

Karl Anderson will seemingly have a busy schedule until early 2023.

KA and his tag team partner Luke (Doc) Gallows have been solely working dates for New Japan Pro-Wrestling since their IMPACT Wrestling exits, finishing up their latest tour with the promotion on October 2 with Royal Quest II in the United Kingdom.

The Good Brothers looked set to remain just in NJPW for the foreseeable future but Anderson and Gallows suddenly returned to WWE on the October 10 episode of Monday Night Raw, aligning with AJ Styles in his feud with Judgment Day.

The Good Brothers' returns left Anderson and his status as NEVER Openweight Champion in NJPW unclear but New Japan confirmed on Tuesday that Machine Gun KA will still defend the gold against Hikuleo at Battle Autumn on November 5.

That seemingly won't be Anderson's final date for NJPW, though, and Fightful Select reported that KA told them he was still planning to work Wrestle Kingdom 17 in the Tokyo Dome. This would keep Anderson with NJPW until at least January 4.

NJPW's social media also interacted with Anderson and Gallows' returns on Monday and WWE noted to Fightful that New Japan were given a heads-up ahead of Raw.
