Report: Update On Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks's AEW Contract Status

The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega’s AEW contracts are believed to be expiring in late 2023

Despite serving as co-founders and EVPs of All Elite Wrestling, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) are nearing the end of their contracts, with Omega’s contract in particular set to expire later this year.

AEW and The Elite are believed to be in the midst of contract negotiations, but a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that AEW is getting ‘more aggressive’ in trying to get the contracts of all three completed. Reports in May said there had been ‘no movement’ in recent times with regards to sorting new contracts for the three.

In the case of Omega, ‘The Cleaner’s deal was originally set to expire in February 2023, but was believed to have been extended until November or December 2023 due to Omega missing most of 2022 through injury. The Young Bucks’ deals are also expected to expire at the end of 2023.

Alongside Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks and Omega are regarded as founding fathers of AEW, and have held multiple titles and been involved in some of the most critically lauded matches in AEW history.
