Report: Update On Kenny Omega's AEW Contract

Latest on Kenny Omega's AEW deal

While Konnan hinted in a recent interview that Kenny Omega had signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling, that reportedly isn't the case and The Best Bout Machine is still under contract on his original deal until November or December 2023, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.

"Okay, the stuff with Kenny Omega. Konnan did an interview, and it got people thinking that Kenny Omega had signed a new contract. Kenny Omega is under contract with AEW. His contract was extended because he was out for, I think, nine months due to injuries. I believe that he is under contract until around November or December. There is no new deal that's been signed," Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio.

Omega signed with AEW in January 2019 shortly after the promotion was founded by Tony Khan, The Young Bucks, and Cody Rhodes. The former AEW World Champion is still an Executive Vice President in the promotion.

Omega's deal was originally set to expire in February 2023 but injury time was added to the deal for the time he was out of action from November 2021 until August 2022. The IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion has noted he is unsure about his pro wrestling future
