Amidst uncertainty over the future of several top stars in All Elite Wrestling, an update on Kenny Omega's contract has emerged.

Writing on the F4W Online Board, Dave Meltzer reported that The Best Bout Machine's contract is due to expire in February of 2023. AEW do have the option to add time on to the deal, though, due to Omega's long stint out of action with injury, which could see his deal expire at the end of 2023 instead. If the promotion will add the time on is currently unknown.

"Kenny's contract is up in February but they will likely add the 9-10 months for his being out, so likely end of 2023. We don't know they will," Meltzer wrote.

Omega has been one of AEW's top stars since the promotion was founded in 2019 and he is a former AEW World Champion, having held the gold for 346 days between December 2020 and November 2021.

The Cleaner is currently off AEW TV, having been suspended by the promotion due to The Elite's fight with CM Punk and Ace Steel after All Out on September 4. A third-party investigation is currently being carried out to determine what happened and that will be influential in deciding The Elite's future with AEW.
