CM Punk & The Elite Pulled From AEW Full Gear Advertising
The suspensions might not be ending anytime soon
Sep 13, 2022
The suspensions for CM Punk, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks look set to last for a while.
Punk and The Elite were previously prominently featured in advertising for November's Full Gear pay-per-view, particularly on the poster, but that has changed in recent days. Both The Elite and Punk have been scrubbed from the poster, with The Second City Saviour being replaced by Toni Storm, while MJF has replaced Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. The suspended talents have also been removed from all advertising leading up to the show.
Full Gear will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday, November 19.
The Elite, CM Punk, and Ace Steel along with several others were suspended by All Elite Wrestling because of their involvement in a backstage fight following the All Out pay-per-view on September 4. Punk inflamed tensions behind the scenes in AEW during his post-All Out media scrum and this prompted The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega to confront the 43-year-old in his locker room. A fight then broke out, during which Ace Steel reportedly bit Kenny Omega and threw a chair at Nick Jackson. CM Punk also threw punches at The Young Bucks.
All involved, including those who broke up the fight, were suspended by AEW while a third party carries out an investigation into what happened.
