Report: Update On Nature Of Mickie James' Injury

Mickie James was pulled from IMPACT Sacrifice due to injury

IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Mickie James is currently on the injured list, with the multi-time world champion pulled from her planned title defence against Jordynne Grace at Sacrifice on March 24.

IMPACT announced that Grace will take on the winner of the four-way match at Multiverse United for the title at Rebellion on April 16, with James in contention for a spot in the match should she be cleared in time.

A new report from Fightful Select has shed some light on James’ condition, revealing that Mickie is dealing with a rib injury, and was injured at the pre-Sacrifice set of IMPACT Wrestling TV tapings. As alluded to in storyline, IMPACT are legitimately hoping that James will be able to wrestle at Rebellion.

James won the Knockouts World Title from Grace at Hard to Kill on January 13, ending James’ long-running Last Rodeo retirement saga, and it remains to be seen if she will defend the title at Rebellion or be stripped of it. As for Grace, she will be facing one of Deonna Purrazzo, Gisele Shaw, Masha Slamovich, or Miyu Yamashita, never mind the potential of James being added to make it a championship three-way at the PPV.
