Report: Update On Possibility Of WarGames At WWE Survivor Series

Latest on WarGames at WWE Survivor Series

After several years of using the match in WWE NXT, Triple H brought WarGames to the main roster last year, with two editions of the Match Beyond taking place at 2022's Survivor Series pay-per-view.

The first match saw Team Belair of Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Mia Yim, and Becky Lynch defeat Team Damage CTRL of Bayley, Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, Nikki Cross, and Rhea Ripley. WarGames then returned for the main event as The Bloodline picked up the win over Team Brawling Brutes after Sami Zayn confirmed his allegiance to Roman Reigns, taking out Kevin Owens and winning the match for the heel faction.

The 2023 edition of Survivor Series is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 25 at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. There has been no word on if WarGames will return for the show, but Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has reported that talent are under the impression the double steel cage match will be booked for Survivor Series.

"Don't know but do know talent that thinks so," Meltzer tweeted.

Another option for WWE would be to revive the traditional five vs. five elimination tag team match that was a Survivor Series staple. Many will be hoping the company don't revert to Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown, however.
