Report: Update On Potential Location For WWE Royal Rumble 2024
Update on where the 2024 Royal Rumble could be heading
The 2024 edition of the Royal Rumble could be heading to Florida.
According to WESH 2, the Tourist Development Tax Sports Incentive Committee is set to request $850,000 for the Greater Orlando Sports Commission to bid on hosting the 2024 Royal Rumble.
The bid is set to be made on Tuesday, May 2 and the event will be held at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on January 27, 2024 if the bid is successful. It is unknown who else is bidding on hosting the Royal Rumble.
Should the bid be unsuccessful, the $850,000 will be returned. Political leaders in Orange County, Florida estimated the Royal Rumble could bring $28 million to the area. WrestleMania 33 was held at Camping World Stadium and generated $181 million for the region.
The Royal Rumble has become a stadium event in recent years and the 2023 edition of the first Big Four pay-per-view of the year took place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
