Report: Update On Rey Mysterio's WWE Contract Status

Could he make the jump to All Elite Wrestling...

Since re-signing with WWE in September 2018, Rey Mysterio has featured prominently on SmackDown and Monday Night Raw. He has enjoyed two reigns as United States Champion and even went one on one with Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at Survivor Series 2019.

The Master Of The 619 signed a two-year deal with the company back in 2018, but he did add an 18-month opt-out clause because he wanted to see how his body would hold up in WWE. Mysterio is seemingly happy with his health as Paul Davis at WrestlingNews.co reported the three-time world champion decided not to use his opt-out option and will remain with the wrestling behemoth until at least September.

What the company has in store for Mysterio remains to be seen but he could very well enjoy one more world title run as he will be part of the Men's Money In The Bank Ladder match on Sunday alongside King Corbin, Daniel Bryan, Aleister Black, Otis and one more Superstar.
