Report: Update On Rhea Ripley's WWE Status

What does the future hold for the former NXT Women's Champion...

Yesterday, Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported that Rhea Ripley had travelled back to Australia to renew her work visa and she would miss NXT's next set of tapings to be held over the next week. However, Ripley herself spotted the report and clarified on Instagram that she was not in Australia, but was in fact still at her home in Florida.

While the former NXT Women's Champion is currently in the United States, she told Fox Sports Australia she will be heading back to her home country after the coronavirus pandemic has passed because her work visa expires in the next couple of weeks.

Ripley said: "I've only been back home, I want to say three or four times since moving over here three years ago. I was supposed to have this massive family time over Mania, because my parents and my sister were going to fly down, they were going to come and watch Mania, be here for two weeks and after that my visa actually runs out so I have to go back home.

"I was going to be there for I don't know how long. And then my sister was actually going to come back over to America and stay with me for another couple of weeks. So now the coronavirus has thrown a spanner in the works. I'm not too sure the next time I'm going to see them. Once all of this is over I'll see them soon because I have to go home and do my visa."

With Ripley staying in the US for a little while longer, she will be involved at NXT's upcoming tapings according to Fightful Select. They revealed the Australian will look to rebound from her loss against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36 in a match against Chelsea Green.
